Simon Brooke is Head of Policy at Clúid Housing, a leading not-for-profit provider of social housing in Ireland. He is also a part time Assistant Professor at the School of Social Work and Social Policy, Trinity College Dublin, where he lectures in housing and homelessness policy.
He moved to Ireland from the UK in 1989 where he had been working for a national housing campaign. He worked at Focus Ireland for 7 years in the 1990s; from 2000 to 2012 he was a self-employed Housing and Social Policy Consultant; and he has written and spoken widely on housing issues. He has a MA in Engineering from Cambridge University and a post-graduate Diploma in Social Administration from the London School of Economics.
